A: [Kootenay Outfitters is an outfitter with two spectacular
areas which is
the southeastern Kootenays of British Columbia. We offer hunting,
fishing, wilderness horseback trips, hiking, and wildlife viewing to
all of our clients throughout Canada and the United States.]
Q: [What is the Kootenay Area?]
A: [This area is rugged and rustic with only the basic amenities,
due to the restriction of motor vehicles in the upper half of the
area. Horseback is the general mode of transportation, with limited use of vehicles in
the fall, spring and winter. The area offers unending mountains for
the willing hunter to explore, and high quality wildlife and
scenery.
Q: [What is the best way to find out
more about my hunt interest?]
A: [Once you know what type of
species you want to hunt, the easiest thing to do is send us an
email. Important questions for you to ask us will be: When can I
hunt this species? How many days will I hunt this species? What
should I expect physically from this hunt? What are your prices and
availability this year and beyond?
We can quickly and easily answer these questions, and many more, so you can decided what you want from your hunt. Don't forget that with 2 (two) hunting concessions and 12 (twelve) big game species, there is much Kootenay Outfitters can offer the North American Big Game Hunter!]
Q: [Is it difficult to bring guns into Canada?]
A: [NO, NOT AT ALL! Firearm(s) being brought into Canada must be
declared and temporarily registered, at the border. We insure you have the
appropriate form(s) before you arrive, and for our clients that request pickup
in Kallispell, Montana we quickly and professionally speed you through this
simple process. Bows do not need to be registered. Please see the
Canadian Firearms Center.
