Our Grizzly hunts are conducted in the spring during the mating season. Giant boars roam out of Banff National Park in search of sows. Our bears are the Rocky Mountain Interior Grizzly. This is the same bear that is found in Yellowstone National Park. These bears were found in the U.S. Rocky Mountains until the early 1900's and are now only found in small pockets in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and British Columbia.
This is a 1 x 1 hunt with our outfitter during mid to late May. The hunter will also get one black bear tag that can be hunted at the same time. Hunt on horseback glassing slide areas and alpine meadows where bears will be feeding.
Boars average 7-8' with some older boards going over 8'+. The quota system only allows three tags over five years, so if you are searching for the heard to find Interior Grizzly, plan ahead.
