Shiras Moose

Our Shiras moose hunts are based on a quota system. We have a limited number of tags each year for these majestic animals. Our area consistently produces 40" to 50" bulls with 50"+ bulls a real possibility. Last year our hunter took a 53 1/2" bull.
Bow hunters enjoy the opportunity to hunt during the pre-rut while the rifle hunt takes place in late October. Hunt 1 x 1 with our outfitter for a true trophy of a lifetime, a giant Shiras bull!
Hunt the marshy bottoms, log blocks and high alpine meadows for big bulls. The hunter should be prepared for all weather conditions during this hunt. If you are looking for a hunt for some of the biggest Shiras moose bulls found in North America, then Kootenay Outfitters is the place!
